JUDGING THE PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY AWARDS

JUDGES ARE IMPARTIAL AND AWARD POINTS SOLELY ON THE BASIS OF THE ENTRY THEY LOOK AT, WITH NO VALUE ATTACHED TO PRIOR REPUTATION OR OTHER ISSUES. YOU CAN LEARN ABOUT THE JUDGING PROCEDURE FOR THE RELEVANT CATEGORIES BELOW:

Judges are asked to read through all entries and score each one based on pre-defined criteria. The points are added up and the highest scoring entries are shortlisted as finalists, making it through to the second round.

Official Visitor – All finalists will be contacted by an official visitor, who will make an appointment to see the facilities and interview the managers, staff and owner. Finalists will be responsible for providing one treatment free of charge for the Official Visitor. These visits will take place between 16 October and 20 November 2024, if your business is closed for any period during these months, we need you to notify us of this in advance by sending an email to the Awards Team at awards@thepbgroup.com. If we do not receive advance notification, this could limit your business’ chances of progressing to the final stage of the awards.

That visitor’s judging report will be read and taken into account by the judges.

  • Judges will have a deliberation day where they discuss the findings of the official visitor and review the original entries.
  • Judges do not agree on a winner as a group but instead score independently using pre-defined criteria.
  • Judges submit their final scores to the Professional Beauty Awards organising team, who then total up all the scores from all the judges. The finalist with the highest collective score wins.

NOTE: Finalists will be responsible for providing treatments free of charge for Official Visitor.
